About the event
Passover is a sacred time commemorating God’s deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. It reflects on the night when the Lord “passed over” the homes of His people, sparing them from judgment through the blood of the lamb (Exodus 12:13). For believers, it also points to Jesus Christ, our Passover Lamb, whose sacrifice brings us freedom and eternal life (1 Corinthians 5:7).
Following Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a seven-day observance where leaven (yeast) is removed, symbolizing the removal of sin and a call to live in purity and truth (Exodus 12:15-20). This feast invites us to reflect on God’s power to deliver and the call to live a new life in Him.
Together, these celebrations remind us of God’s faithfulness, the power of redemption, and the freedom found in Christ.
